Biography

Federico Espinosa is "Chacpol" self-taught visual artist. Born in Merida, Yucatan, a city left to travel for several years, living in different cities of the United States, Europe and Mexico. Places from which he acknowledges the city of Rome, Italy, where he lived for a year, as the space of art which has marked the most visually. The cultural center of Mérida "Olympus" makes its presentation on 2008 with the art-work photographic collection of "Doors of Yucatan" making them an immediate success, getting in the next years, 3 internationals Awards, two In Italy and one more in Argentina.
"Chacpol" is the creator of the "Photo-sculptures", which are an intervened photograph with objects, to change de bi-dimensional natural state of a photo in to a tri-dimensional. This Fall, his presenting, his new collection of sculptures "urchin-objects".
