Biography
FABIANO MIXO (b. 1987, Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian film director and multimedia artist based in Berlin. He studied Art & Media at EAV Parque Lage and Communication & Film at PUC University in Rio de Janeiro. In Berlin he concluded his studies in Filmmaking at FilmArche. His work is inspired by poetry, semiotics and daily life, exploring the re-contextualization of history, culture and the media through his personal experiences and memories in order to give alternative interpretations of the present. He is currently developing the video installation "Letters to Lumière" (360° live-action films) which will be shown 2016 in the Museum of Arts and Technology Oi Futuro in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
