Elio Varuna
Born in Rome, Italy
Lives and works in Rome and Berlin

Artist, researcher of ancient cultures, spiritual traveller. He studied Philosophy and History of Ancient Religion at the Roman University “La Sapienza”.
Varuna has exhibited in many private galleries and in prestigious public museums in Europe, including a solo show at the Museo Nazionale di Castel Sant’Angelo, Rome.
In 2008 he was nominated by the Italian Ministry of Culture to represent the Young Contemporary Art during the “10th Week of Culture”.
He has designed several book and cd covers and he has created the scenography of the opera “Alchemic Symphony”. “God save the pop” is his first collection of handbags. He has shown his talent as an entertainer in several performances and live custom shows. His placards with social and political contents, posted in different European cities, have provoked great reactions.
Different European magazines have presented his works of art, and he has been interviewed by the Italian national television.
