Biography

BIOGRAPHY:
Marco Minola was born in Milan in 1981 where he continues living.
He approached photography in 2005 and took his first steps in the studio of his father, an advertising photographer, where he started working as an assistant.
He attended courses at the CFP Riccardo Bauer in Milan where he graduated in 2007.
He also collaborated with architects and graphic editorials in Milan.
In 2008 was the author of several solo exhibitions in Lecco,sponsored by various municipalities, where he took some pictures of the territory for private and public institutions of Valsassina.
In 2010 he reauthored a solo exhibition in Milan at the Association Sassetti Culture, entitled "The Fremito of Nature". Thirty photos were taken from the subalpine territory to Ligurian coast, some particular shades take a symbolic meaning, they all represent the thrill of nature and the illusion of life.
In January 2011 he participated in a group exhibition entitled "Invisible Cities" reinterpreting Milan urban spaces according to a viewpoint generated by the "inner world" of memories, desires, dreams, and injuries, inspired by the "style" used in the famous novels written by Italo Calvino.
In May 2011 he took part in a multidisciplinary event called"Memories Factory".
The eponymous musical project of the songwriter Marco Del Santo (Delsa celeste) inspired many artists from different backgrounds with the aim to propose different languages and styles: painting, graphic, photography, video art and new visual suggestions combined and layered to that music.
In April 2015 he was a finalist at the international competition "Milano City in the World", created with the aim to promote Milan as a creative, productive, international and multicultural city in view of "Expo".
The contest was promoted by M-WAM Milano Arts World Map, artistic networking project conceived by cultural Cubeart and communication Laboratory that was supported by the European Commission and produced in cooperation with the Steam Factory, which have hosted a collective exhibition for all 25 finalists.
In June 2015 Marco Minola was a finalist again in the competition called "Intimate Nutrients" thanks to five works inspired by the idea of food.
The exposition, located in Red Palace exhibition, was sponsored by Museums and Libraries of Genoa city and it was included in The exhibition "Art Nurtured" connected to the themes of "Expo 2015".
It was also organized in collaboration with Art in the Lab (a cultural association composed by some graduates of University of Genoa), School of Humanities and Archives of Contemporary Art.
In October 2017 he was selected in Venice from Multicultural Paint Contemporary Art Management, as an artist participating in the "Find Me" exhibition. Inserted in the circuit of the 57th Art Biennale "Viva Arte Viva".
Nowadays Marco Minola continues his job as a freelance photographer, focusing on experimental and revolutionary photography.
