Biography
In Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, a monster called Griffin says “No, no! Adventure stories first. Explanations take too much time.” If this quote is seen through a writer’s perspective, it can be interpreted as the following: “No, no! My stories first. Explanations take too much time.” It is like listening to little children talking over one another, not wanting to listen to others other than themselves. However, this type of behavior is oddly reminiscent of modern adults and reflects their basic desires. The author, Yoon Seo Lee expands and expresses his stories through modern, contemporary characters that share a string of similarities with on another. Lee expresses his ideas by using ‘perspectives’ as his primary subject in his works. Lee focuses on conveying an individual confused by the various and complicated relationships in his life, through the perspectives of an object. The author highlights the object’s confusion by the complicated, entangled relationships, and this offers an interesting, unique perspective. The author’s upcoming work, “Emptiness is Form. Form is Emptiness.", examines the similarities between a modern person’s desires and that of a religion to highlight the meaning and place of religion in modern society.
