Biography
I was born on 25 December 1960. After studying graphic design in the advertising sector, I first
worked in restoration, then as a social worker. I am now a librarian.
The theme of “everyday objects” is close to my heart: the articles we use daily to wash or to
iron gather layers of meaning, turning simple objects into something else.
Just as Bodei wrote, there’s a difference between “a thing” and “an object”: when you lend a voice to substance and you
make it speak, “the object” becomes “a thing”. How can you not be grateful to the jumper which has kept you so warm,
to the shirt which has faithfully accompanied you on mountain walks over many years, to your companion tablecloth
of countless dinners? Looking after them has created a bond between us. My work is intended as a tribute to these things
and to the memories encapsulated within them, to the traces of our relationship.
