Biography
My paintings fall within a deep and cross-cutting artistic process of aesthetic pursuit. This process includes writing, jazz singing, music and clown theater, but also and perhaps foremost, experiencing a truthful encounter with my self and others without masks, without seeking to please. Though I have long repressed my legitimacy as an artist in this world because of fears and limiting beliefs, I have been going through a time of effervescence for the past two years, a time of awakening, freedom and acceptance. My intention is to transform each canvas into a celebration of this transformation, this act of faith in life and in myself. I am sensitive to the spiritual and sacred dimensions of art. Being to being and heart to heart, I want to establish a dialogue with the observer of my paintings. I create a poem for each of these autobiographical testimonies in which I instill scraps of life, existential questions and realizations.
