Biography
My work is about handmade, minumental, representational, full body portraits of individuals in an experimental framework where I examine, their relationships and their interaction with the viewer and space. I attempt to offer a new voice to the neglected naturalistic figural form and propose the minumentalisation of the anonymous.
I was born in 1961 in Thessaloniki Greece. After 28 years in the advertising sector, I have turned my full attention to art. In 2010, I had the chance to study sculpture for two years, next to Professor Sławomir Andrzej Mieleszko, head of the department of Monumental Sculpture and Dr Wojciech Mendzelewski, at the Art Institute of Maria Skłodowska-Curie, University of Lublin, Poland. Prior to that period, for 10 years, I was experimenting with multiple media, painting, sculpture, attending private courses with Anna Mailli at “Topos Ekphrasis” . In 2015, I received my Master’s degree in Fine Art at the University of Lincoln, UK and I am a Member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors.
