Biography

Daniela Di Costanzo was born in Napoli on the mediterranean coast of Italy on March 4, 1986.
She showed an early interest in sculpture and Art , after graduating at the Art School of Naples in 2006 she went to study in Rome ( Italy’s most artsy city) at the Academy of Fine Arts while also attending the course of “Scuola Libera del Nudo”.
Upon graduation, Daniela initially worked in the Gallery “Orcia Paint”, but she soon developed her own style, composing her works with passion and focusing through the Arte Povera movement with constant research in giving life to the abandoned construction materials in her sculptures.
In 2016 she displayed a showcase she had produced "Art'èDonna" with the paintings "Self-portrait", "Still Lives", "The ego" at la Fiera del Tempo Libero (Bz). She also worked as main performer, actress to a short “ La forza della traccia”of the painter Gianni Lizio.
Her own research is focused on the perception of reality. As an artist she doesn’t stop to the appearance and to the externals but she goes beyond to capture the essence and the inner life, the invisible, the hidden, thus making the image in its true essence for what it actually is.
Her is a research focused on the perception of reality, so much interior as exterior.she penetrates through the real image, the mask, because she is fascinated by what it hides in the search for truth, of reality that does not appear.
The mask in fact the theme is recurrent in his work whether it is perceived as a defense and as a fiction.
