Biography
Marta Corro is a proficient designer but in her heart there is love for fine art. Her drawings and paintings shows her inner world, a soul full of happiness that reminds her childhood with sweetness and dreams.
In her damsels, as she calls her young ladies, with bell-shaped skirts, it is appreciated the transformation into a creative space where her feelings and inspirations from around the world are shown. Her daughter loves the simple and great elegant colorful lines, inspired by fashion and the pop stars colors.
Butterflies express beauty represents the universal symbol for transformation and life evolution.
The fish are other elements of Marta Corro’s works. Her fish are happy, full of color with Swarovski details and their lips are bright red representing abundance, happiness and prosperity with a bit of a childish touch full of innocence and flirt.
Within her curiousness and search for new techniques and styles, Marta Corro uses Plexiglass rolls. When she finishes a painting, they can be seen backwards, all of the paint work must be done backwards.
The abstracts that sometimes we appreciate in some of her works are embraced with enthusiasm, expression, color and feeling; always seeking for a language to express her dreamy world full of beauty and fantasy.
Besides acrylic, she also does oil painting depending on what her instincts tells her at the time of making her work, never closing down the possibilities for a change in canvas. She knows what she wants in her work and how to get there.
