Biography
A sculptor and a medallist . She has displayed her works at 9 one-artist and 90 group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. The artist lives and works in Toruń.
"For a long time now I have been fascinated by the phenomenon of memory and the processes of retracing, or memory-recovery associated with it. This might be described as a particular return to the ‘past’ subjected to a psychological treatment involving emotions, reflection and, more often than not, reason. My mind records myself and others - those who are nearby, in the ‘field of view’ or not, those who come and then go, those who draw near and those who withdraw. They accompany me and take part in my life. I am very curious about the traces that together we leave behind, about this unique record of my energy and that of the people who surround me, of my whole generation in fact. I am now looking for what identifies myself, or us, what allows self-recognition in the continuity of collective memory. I record what has been forgotten by putting together fragments and remains."
