Biography
ELISA TAGLIATI
She is a teacher of sculpture and multimedia laboratory at the Art School “Munari” in Crema.
For many years the body is the center of her artistic research.
From 2007 to present her sculptural studies and photography develops into a research on self-portrait.
She has been exhibiting her works in various Italian contexts since 2003.
In 2016 she published the photobook "Resilience".
Since 2009 she has been producing and directing videos for several Italian songwriters.
Since 1997 she has been singing in various bands ranging from jazz to popular music.
Since 2014 she is part of the Tulilem Trio bringing to theatre in a show based on the story of the Italian Trio Lescano.
Recently she has approached the Chinese martial arts and begun a research on dance and body movement.
She is studying Butoh dance under the guide of Atsushi Takenouchi, Kea Tonetti and Maruska Ronchi.
In 2016 she participated at the 13th edition of the "Art Action" International Festival in Monza performing a Butoh dance "No imaginary judgments of form"; in the same year she also took part at the "The voice of the body" biennial festival in Osnago performing “Back to being" with Esteban Puzzuoli.
In 2017 she exhibited her photo research titled "I'm ready honey" at Calisto Cafè in Vailate (CR) with a live performance.
She participates at the IX Biennial of Soncino with the site-specific videoinstallation "Ipazia".
