...this was my first international shipping adventure. First times are always challenging, and true to every aspect of my art career so far, I just do it--learning by doing and a lot of googling and question-asking along the way.
First stop: getting the paintings properly documented. Then gathering the appropriate wood from the local sawmill, building the crate with my carpenter-y neighbor, carefully packing my babies, getting them branded with an international wood stamp, then off for shipment to the art shipping company. Documentation, application for exporteur numbers blahblahblah (but important blahblahblah) later, and these babies will be in the air on Monday!
