As the Christmas lights are switched on, The Brick Lane Gallery is proud to announce its last show before the holiday, the up-coming 'Art in Mind', opening on 9 December and running through 21 December. The exhibition will include illustration, photography, paintings from twelve talented emerging artists.
Compared to previous exhibitions, we bring together works of more geographically and theoretically diverse artists with different styles. The Australian artist James Cochran presents his special drip painting of different angles of London underground. At the same time, you can also see German artist Eva-Maria Salm's large-size oil painting of examining female body with bold color. The paintings of New Forest landscape from Pete Gilbert, project personal feeling on the nature, creating something more than just snap shots. However, not only paintings are featured in this show. Katia Hickmer's photographs use the relationship between family members to find the identity of herself.
The exhibition features brilliant works by Devra Wiseman, Habib Diab, Raphael Perez Langowski, Pete Gilbert, Pilar Mackenna, Vitor Cervi, James Cochran, George Pergamalis, Fredrik Flink, Katia Hickmer, Saroj Patel and Eva-Maria Salm.
