We are the 99%

You are invited to explore the striking potently unique visual art of Tokio Aoyama. For two weeks only,the KIZITO Arts Movement and Ancient Future proudly present Tokio's 'We are the 99%' exhibition.
Drawing inspiration from music and ethereal sources such as mythology, the wonders of cosmos, and psychedelic experiences and states of mind, Tokio initially rose to prominence through his creatively inspired album covers for Georgia Anne Muldrow and Dudley Perkins. Inspired by Mati Klarwien after seeing the Miles Davies' Bitches Brew album, Tokio soon went on to capture the imagination for his vibrantly colourful and surrealist paintings that focus on the essences of nature. He is inspired by Dali, Frida Kahlo, Basquiat and Diego Rivera. Tokio also channels through his art the essence of peace, ascension and love embodied by musicians such as Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Wonder, Mile Davies and Sun Ra.
In one space, you will find his amazing murals,CD artworks and portraits of iconic musicians past and present : these include original artworks commissioned for the 20th anniversary of seminal hip-hop act De La Soul.
