“Nelle derive dell’Infinito”
L’arte surreale di Maurizio Laurenti in mostra ad Arezzo dal 30 maggio all’11 giugno 2015
Arezzo - Dal 30 maggio all’11 giugno 2015 gli spazi espositivi di Via Cavour 85, ad Arezzo, ospitano “Nelle derive dell’Infinito”, mostra personale di pittura di Maurizio Laurenti, artista grossetano di nascita ma aretino d’adozione.
Sabato 30 maggio, alle ore 18, l’inaugurazione alla presenza del pittore. In occasione del vernissage ci sarà anche il giornalista Fabrizio Borghini per la trasmissione Incontri con l’Arte.
L’esposizione, a cura dello storico e critico d’arte Michele Loffredo, ospiterà una fantasiosa selezione di opere dipinte a olio, inedite ad Arezzo.
«Dedicandosi all’esplorazione della pittura – spiega il curatore – l’artista si offre all’indagine dei propri sogni a occhi aperti che, come viscerali intuizioni partorite da limpide aspirazioni, da desideri trasparenti affiorati alla soglia della coscienza, sono raccolti in punta di pennello, prendendo corpo nel colore e forma sulla tela diventano fertili visioni del dolce peregrinare nelle dimensioni dello spazio tempo della memoria».
Sabato 7 giugno, alle ore 18, un evento collaterale dal titolo “La pittura incontra la musica” con Giuseppe Ciccone alla chitarra e Ada Diana al canto, con una selezione di musiche napoletane e la presentazione di un quadro inedito a tema musicale.
Il catalogo che accompagnerà la mostra è curato da Michele Loffredo e include un suo testo critico e un prologo dell’artista Maurizio Laurenti. La presentazione e la traduzione in inglese sono di Danielle Villicana D’Annibale.
La personale di Laurenti sarà visitabile, a ingresso gratuito, fino a giovedì 11 giugno 2015 con il seguente orario: lunedì al venerdì, dalle ore 16 alle ore 20, sabato e domenica dalle ore 9:30 alle ore 13 e dalle ore 16 alle ore 20 e dietro appuntamento.
L’evento espositivo è sotto la direzione artistica e l’organizzazione di Danielle Villicana D’Annibale e gode della collaborazione dell’Associazione Toscana Cultura e Villa Margherita a Paradise for Artists in Tuscany e della partecipazione del media partner Toscana TV.
Breve biografia dell’artista:
Maurizio Laurenti nasce a Grosseto nel 1961. Da sempre amante del disegno, nel 2000 ha cominciato a dipingere seguendo gli insegnamenti del maestro Franco Rossi. Grazie a lui ha potuto mettere sulla tela le idee e le sensazioni che via via crescevano dentro. Ha partecipato a varie collettive, fino all'esperienza del 2009, anno in cui ha esordito con la sua prima "personale" curata dal critico e storico dell'arte Michele Loffredo, direttore del Museo Statale di Casa Vasari.
Successivamente ha partecipato a numerosi concorsi d'arte e mostre collettive, entrando in contatto con il maestro Maxmilian Ciccone.

“On the drift of Infinity”
The surreal art of Maurizio Laurenti on exhibit in Arezzo from May 30 to June 11, 2015
Arezzo – Via Cavour 85, in Arezzo, will host from May 30 until June 11, 2015, the solo exhibition of painting entitled “On the drift of Infinity,” by Maurizio Laurenti, artist from Grosseto and adoptive of Arezzo.
Saturday, May 30, at 6PM, will be the opening reception with the presence of the artist. At the opening reception will also be present journalist Fabrizio Borghini for the transmission Encounters with Art (Incontri con l’Arte).
The exhibition, curated by art historian and art critic Michele Loffredo, will host an imaginative selection of works in oil, exhibited for the first time in Arezzo.
The curator explains that, “Devoting himself to the exploration of the painting, the artist offers himself to the investigation of his own open eyed dreams that, as visceral intuitions given birth by clear aspirations, from transparent desires appeared on the surface to the threshold of the conscience, they are gathered on the point of the brush, taking shape in the color and form on the canvas they become fertile visions of sweet wandering in the dimensions of the space time of the memory.”
Saturday, June 6, at 6PM, a collateral event by the title “Painting meets music” where Giuseppe Ciccone on guitar and Ada Diana, voice, will perform a selection of Neapolitan music along with the presentation of a new painting of musical theme.
The catalogue that will accompany the exhibit is curated by Michele Loffredo with a prologue by the artist Maurizio Laurenti. The presentation and English translations are by Danielle Villicana D’Annibale.
The solo exhibition of Laurenti may be visited, at free entrance, until Thursday, June 11, 2015 with the following hours: Monday to Friday, from 4PM to 8PM, Saturday and Sunday from 9:30AM to 1PM and from 4PM to 8PM or by appointment.
The exhibit is under the artistic direction and organization of Danielle Villicana D’Annibale enjoys the collaboration with the Toscana Cultura Association and Villa Margherita a Paradise for Artists in Tuscany and media partner Toscana TV.
Brief biography of the artist:
Maurizio Laurenti was born in Grosseto in 1961. Since the beginning a lover of drawing, in 2000 he started to paint following the teachings of Master Franco Rossi. Thanks to him he has been able to put on the canvas the ideas and the feelings that along the way have grown inside of him. He has participated in various group exhibitions, up until the experience of 2009, year when he had his first “solo exhibition” curated by critic and art historian Michele Loffredo, current director of the National Museum and Home of Giorgio Vasari.
