Biography
I recently interviewed filmmaker/artist David Lynch for a feature about coffee that I was writing for a Village Voice Media website. During the course of our second phone discussion, he gave me a scholarship from his David Lynch Foundation to begin studying and practicing Transcendental Meditation, which I have been doing regularly since 4/20/14.
Since that day, I have been in the powerful grip of a spiritual force which makes me write, draw, and then collate these pieces into fanzines. These fanzines are part of a storyboard for HANDELSMAN: A POST-MODERN REALITY SHOW. I began booking shows at venues around Miami, performing to decent sized crowds, and have put together a team of filmmakers and an electronic musician who are documenting this project thus far. David Lynch is aware that we are documenting my use of TM as an artist and writer via weekly emails with his assistant, and phone calls with the director himself. TM worked for Jerry Seinfeld, David Lynch, Howard Stern, Andy Kaufman, and many others and it is going to work for HANDELSMAN.
