Biography
I am curator at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and head of its project space, Stedelijk Museum Bureau Amsterdam. I was co-recipient of Abraaj Capital Art Prize, Dubai, 2010. I co-edited Now is the Time. Art and Theory in the 21st Century, (NAi Publishers, 2009) and this year I publish Project 1975 - Contemporary Art and the Postcolonial Unconscious with Blackdog Publishers. Currently I am head curator of the Stedelijk Museum project ‘Global Collaborations’. I have curated over 30 exhibitions and projects, including the large-scale exhibition ‘Monumentalism. History and National Identity in Contemporary Art’ at the Stedelijk Museum (with catalogue) and ‘Spaces of Exception’, a special project of the Moscow Biennial, 2013. Anything else?
