Biography

Kamran Babrak is a visual artist and educator who studied Sculpture at National College of Arts, Lahore.

His work is about human behaviours - the agony, anguish and misery that man has encountered over a long period of time. He has been focusing in on issues which we tend to either eschew or are reluctant to address, i.e., the gloomy side of our lives. We like to present the best of our personalities while, as a matter of fact, the darker aspects are just as visible; we like to be called ‘human’, proud to be civilized, whereas, on the contrary, our destructive conscious is ever more active.
We are, invariably, in denial of admitting the fact that we are the ones who inflict pain, and cause suffering.
He wishes to find answers to the basic questions pertaining to the preconceived notions, impartialities and stereotypes. He wishes to know further what leads human beings to behave inhumanly.

After his graduation, He has been working in multidisciplines, Currently He is teaching sculpture at Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi and Jewelry design at Pakistan Institute of Fashion Design, Islamabad.
