Biography
Lauren J. Caldarola is a professional fine artist specializing in drawing and painting. She is trained in classical figurative realism and is based in New York City.
She has shown in various venues and art galleries located throughout the United States. Her work and exhibitions have been featured in several articles and periodicals including The Asbury Park Press, The Hartford Courant, Art Info, and in The New Haven Register, and American Art Collector magazine.
Each individual drawing or painting exemplifies her sense of curiosity and a meticulous attention to detail. Her main focus is creating works on paper that feature her love for the figure and portraiture. She prefers to work from life.
She completed her Bachelors of Fine Arts training at The School of Visual Arts where she studied with artists such as Steven Assael, and Marvin Mattelson. She also won the Chairman's Merit Scholarship. She was also selected as a finalist for the 2014,and 2015 Williams Prize in Drawing. Her work can be found in many private and public collections throughout the United States and abroad.
