Biography
Artistic Director of the Center for Contemporary Art Luigi Pecci of Prato, Italy. Conferred a degree on Arts, Music and Spectacle, thesis on Italian Pop Art with professor Renato Barilli at the Faculty of arts of Bologna. He has specialised in economy and art management at University of Florence.
He worked as a professor at numerous academies and universities teaching master and specialization courses among which “Systems and expertise at contemporary art museums” promoted by Castello di Rivoli and University of Turin. He worked as a correspondent for the art magazine “Segno Attualità Internazionali d’Arte Contemporanea” and as a consultant for the project “TRA ART rete regionale per l’arte contemporanea” promoted by Toscana Region. He curated exhibitions for private and public spaces amongst which “Marino Marini - La forma del colore” (2001); “Abitanti - arte in relazione” (2002), presso Palazzo Fabroni arti visive contemporanee.
From 2003 to 2005 he had been responsible for the cultural department of Centro per arte contemporanea Luigi Pecci and curated the exhibitions: “Art, Architecture, Utopie en Toscane 1966/1980”, MAMCO, Ginevra, 2003;
“The Age of Metamorphosis: European Art Highlights from the Centro Pecci Collection”, MoCA, Shanghai, Shanghai, 2006;
“Primo Piano. Parole, azioni, suoni, immagini da una collezione d’arte”, Centro per l’arte contemporanea Luigi Pecci, Prato, 2006.
Fom March 2007 he is an artistic director of Centro per arte contemporanea Luigi Pecci, Prato.
