Biography
This work has been executed on a scarf given to me by my Palestinian friend, (who had relocated to Pakistan)
It has the Jewish motif of the Kaballah (Tree of life).
In every circle I have embroidered elements that symbolize growth and have been mentioned in the Quran, like Olives Dates and Fig, showing that growth can’t take place without peace.
This work is my way of coming to terms with the migration of my Jewish friend from Pakistan stressing the interdependence of things, like the exodus of Jews from Europe to the Middle East, the migration of many Palestinians to places like Pakistan and finally the migration of Jews who were settled in Muslim countries
