The Ark

The Ark is an exploration of familiar forms and structures stripped down to their most basic elements of construction. Borrowing heavily from craft-based functional construction media, including classical boatbuilding and shelter building, the series creates abstract, curved shapes from rigid materials. This metamorphosis is achieved by shunning typical techniques for bending and shaping raw materials and instead relying on optical illusion and mathematical theory, demonstrating three dimensional graphing and hyperbolic planes.
