Shattered series 1, 2 & 3

With this triptych, I was trying to create the feeling that the figure could be in one of many dimensions - whether it be in the sky, water or some mystical made up world. the figures are so broken up that it is difficult to see exactly where the different limbs are, although somehow, despite being so fractured, the figure is still very much understood. I have created a point of focus in each of the paintings whether is be a foot, a finger or the bubble on the face to bring the figurative and the abstract together.
