retrieved_ family_the wedding dance

This project is part of an ongoing series I have been involved with for many years. The concept of the lost and forgotten image, buried under life pressing ever forward. Here it is retrieved and recycled. Lost and found. Images of places visited, paths walked, snapshots of moments long forgotten are brought out of dusty drawers.

This is my mother Haricklia, dancing on her wedding day. She had only been in her new country a few months. We all have family photographs we stare at, hoping a magic spell will reveal some truth of the past.
