Portrait of Angela

Portrait of my wife, Angela, in the sunshine, outdoors (plein air) in my own incompiuto (unfinished) style. Existential, a statement of fact, she exists in light, beauty, and force of personality, her poetry is dislayed in the dance of her hair, her gaze and her expression. The blue of her jeans jacket and the background, (her favorite color) complement the warm sienna and yellow and red oranges of her hair. The light pinks of her face speak of her delicacy and the back of her turtle neck sweater of her sense of fashion and her elegance. The reds of her lips , of her sensuality. Yet, the overall effect is spiritual, a strong light plays over and behind her and she looks out at a light-filled world, the future and the unknown.
