This artwork expresses a childhood recollection of sitting with my grandmother on a sunny afternoon and admiring her flower garden. The vivid colour patches symbolize the many colourful flowers and plants in the garden and the bright hues they project as the sunlight beams down on them. The black bars are symbolic of the thick fencing around the yard and garden, while the black fluid linework suggests the curves of the flower petals and conveys a sense of contentment.
