Tonsure … What looks for Sébastien Duranté in the review of this photography of Duchamp by Man Ray? It seems to me that two major questions of his concerns are in this self-portrait, the swindle on one hand and the remake of the other one.
A possibility for a very young artist to win in seriousness is doubtless, in mind of Sébastien, to move this pilosity of the nape of the neck with the face he under listens by this gesture not to be old enough to reach this fame, neither artistic nor virile thus he malverse, he does a pastiche and takes advantage of it to inserer in the history of his idols of the art.
Anyway, the swindle is the center of the debate, this counterfeiter’s position is the way which he chose to use to communicate. It is then possible to him to show its membership in the brotherhood of the hooligans, the one who catches the eye of all, the one who makes the crowds dream.
