Dying to Live
This work is a portrait of my father's struggle in the last two years of his life and pays homage to him. I chose flowers to represent him for their beauty, frailty and as motifs of the human condition.
The formal set up of the traditional still life of a vase and flowers helps to give the portrait dignity.
