Space Invader

The concept of an 'alternate' space has been created in order to hold the idea of the existence of 'empty' space. A performance has been documented addressing the notions of two negatives creating a positive. In this alternate world, which explores the 'other', could it be filled by introducing two lots of empty space, would it create more emptiness or counteract to create a whole, a void fill? The performance has been edited between three screens presented on sculptural plinths. The awkwardness of the angles of these sculptures reflect upon technologies conveniences, which I am taking away in a playful fashion through editing and composition. The invasion of space is apparent through the installation, consuming a space through sound, physicality and film. The sculptural film installation reflects upon the impossible, the ludicrous and the frustrating elements that are present with the idea of never being ‘filled’.
