Single Dad in the Wilderness

My project “Single Dad in the Wilderness” is an ongoing work focusing on identity and our relationship to the natural world and the pressures of modern life. The subjects of the photos are my nephew and his five children who he is raising by himself. I am interested in the contrast between the scarcity of labels such as “poverty” and “low-income”, “consumer” and “products” and the abundance of the natural world that is available to people of any means. I want these photos to pose a question about where we focus our attention and how that focus affects our inner lives and well-being.
