Together

This picture is a self portrait I've shot in Iceland last fall.
It took all the courage I had to go and lie there with my hands in my pockets, unable to do anything if the ice broke, but it seemed very strong and I chose to trust nature.
I kept saying to the ice: "We're together in this, mate!"
And indeed, it held strong. Not a scary sound was made, not a speck of ice dust fell in the darkness.
When the shot was taken, before taking off, I put my hand on the ice and thanked it and the world too and thought "My turn, now." but of course, it's gonna be a team effort :)
