The figure and the white house.

Architecture is one of the central subjects of investigation in my paintings. There can be incompatible perspectives, combination of right and broken forms; absolutely flat plain borders of the lawn can be in contrast or in interplay with random forms of isolated trees and bushes. I build space in my paintings in accordance with my own inner aesthetics and my own perception and feeling of beauty of the modern world made by a human being. I try to create the markedly laconic landscape but I have to paint in it another form which has another materiality, another surface which can be treated differently. Sometimes I replace such forms with female figures. In this case the figures give the space specific psychological key. What figure it should be – this is a matter of my intuitive choice.
