This work is a diptych composed of two canvases 150x200cm.Technique: sumi ink, collage. Part of the series (Time #0.4) The Poem. The series can be characterized by an alternation of material heavy areas with lighter ones. The latter are constructed from several drawings on transparent rice paper, which are then superimposed.
Statement:
My work involves the (subjective) re-contextualization of time and space in the artistic act and gesture, with the means of expression being structured around an elementary building block: the line. The gesture represents bringing memory back to the present time, and what it designates - the line - materializes the experience in a form of graphic writing, subjectively encrypted at the moment of the artistic act. The metaphorical space is not defined by a specific narrative, but instead includes a wider series of experiences. It represents a (abstract) visual depiction of memory storage and recall, of my inner, psychological, world. The various works are not completely independent, but should be thought of as part of an ongoing and evolving process.
