Plants, Jug and Some Other Things on Pink
ALMUDENA BLANCO SEEKS TO INVESTIGATE IN THIS SERIES THE POSSIBILITY OF SAYING "EVERYTHING" FROM A CLEARLY SELECTIVE WAY OF REPRESENTATION. BOTH THE VARIETY OF APPLIED MATERIALS AND THE DIFFERENT PICTORICAL STYLES REFERENCED IN THE WORK CONTRIBUTE IN THIS PROCESS.
STARTING FROM AN ABSTRACT BACKGROUND, ALLUSIONS TO GRAFFITI, MINIMALIST ELEMENTS AND HER ALWAYS EXPRESSIONIST AND SPONTANEOUS GESTURES ARE MIXED ON THE SURFACE. THE EMOTIONAL DIALOGUE ESTABLISHED BETWEEN THE OBJECTS REPRESENTED ALLUDES TO A KIND OF INTIMATE HIEROGLYPH WHICH AMALGAMATES IN A WHOLE THE HIGHLY PERSONAL PRESENCE OF THE ARTIST AS WELL AS THE REFERENCE TO THE DIFFERENT MENTIONED ART STREAMS. THE REPRESENTATION IN THESE WORKS CAN BE UNDERSTOOD AS A NOD TO CLASSICAL EGYPTIAN ART, A SYNTHETIC DESCRIPTOR OF LIFE AND ITS INHABITANTS THROUGH THEIR HIEROGLYPHS OF LINEAR RELATIONS BETWEEN OBJECTS WHICH FAR FROM BEING COLD AND UNEXPRESSIVE CONNECTIONS ENDED UP BEING AN ALLEGORY TO THE MYSTERY OF LIFE.
