The Back of my Head, 4-5-10

This drawing from my "Back of the Head" series documents my hair on the 5th of April, 2010. Each drawing in this body of work utilizes as its image source documentational photographs I shoot of my hair. The entire series follows the changes of my hair and the modifications I have made to it since 2006. The presentation of my hair as a form of cultural and gender identity is paramount to the conceptual nature of the work.
