Lo Specchio e Papaveri

Lo Specchio e Papaveri- The Mirror and Poppies -this is an abstract ,close-up painting of the wild poppies of Springtime in Tuscany , in varying degrees of light and darkness .In the sunlit areas the poppies are dancing to the music of Verdi along with the golden grasses, while in the shaded places the poppies appear to be submerged under water or reflected in a mirror. There are two contrasting and deeply emotive feelings happening simultaneously ,not unlike the opening aria of Verdi's Aida.
