Pink Justice

This week a State Labour Court in North Rhine Westphalia ruled that bosses can legally make female employees wear bras in their workplace. My most recent public work is a reaction to this ruling. In "Pink Justice" I embroidered the coat of arms for North Rhine Westphalia on one half of a bras and the circle-cross symbol for women on the other one. I fitted the bras on the iconic image of Göttingen: the Gänseliesel. I also blindfolded her with a piece of pink leftover fabric. As an artist, and resident of Lower Saxony/Germany, I manifest my female solidarity to all women in Germany.
