We are at a moment. The present epoch is an epoch of space, of simultaneity, epoch of juxtaposition, the epoch of near and far, of the side by side, of the dispersed. The space in which we live, which draws us out of ourselves, in which the erosion of our lives, our time and our history occurs, the space that claws and gnaws at us, is also, in itself, a heterogeneous space. Michael Foucault, Of Other Spaces, Heterotopias My intention is a play with subjective and intuitive juxtaposition of different spaces – those public and private, cultural and useful, family and social, leisure and work, internal and external, protected and open, urban and rural ones. By exploration and encounter, there are some spaces which define our knowledge of the world, some places which inform our understanding of who we are, and the landscapes that we could call home. In my works, i intend to accumulate the time by multiple exposure and create a parallel physical and mental space which becomes placeless. None of the images were digitally altered. Those photographs are made with middle format camera (6×6).
