As seen in in my portfolio images, my recent artistic processes have focused on mixed media and large installation works using photographs of plastics found in parks, as well as photographing my assemblages. I then rework these ideas using multiples of an image over and over again to build a body of work. I am not a trained photographer but more and more I am interested in this medium. My intention is to build a visual language using assemblage and installation which will incorporate my interests in humor, time, risk, play, loss, fear, and the beauty of transforming mundane materials. I try to challenge assumptions about form, boundaries, and perception. I am motivated by the idea of moving in and out of transparency and the concrete object to find new discoveries in my practice and to engage those who take the time to visit the work.
