Why is it, that for a 100 years, a story of a secret garden has captivated so many children and adults alike. I loved the story about this forgotten space hidden and wild and overgrown, a secret place that had the potential of being the most beautiful garden - A neglected place that becomes alive with a little effort and love - a place where children were free and safe, open to new possibilities and an optimism, wrapped within a beautiful secret. This series of paintings have been inspired by the children's story book experience. My memory of the detailed pictures and inviting text. In the 'What's in a Fairy Tale' I explore my own inner story. These works are an acknowledgement that somewhere is all the confusion there is also fun and love and goodness.
