The works in this series comes from contact between different artistic expressions. The multiplicity of different forms of art reflects the diversity of viewpoints with which man can see reality. Which of the many aspects will prevail over the other is subjective to individual experience. Reality is however a combination of these aspects. “The prevailing art” was conceived to capture, in an image, the energy which relates a dancing subject with an inspiring object of art and present the choice of the moment (that photographic shot) as a passive accomplice but also an active accomplice of that energy. How do you dance a work of art? How do you transmit, with an image the energy present in that istant? How can that energy be perceived through an image? Certainly not by tasting the ingredients separately (the work of art, the “danced body”, the photograph…): “Recognizing” one ingredient takes us far from the comprehensive flavour of what we are tasting. Hence it is necessary to strive not to recognize the “ingredients-artistic expressions” present, in order to share the taste of that energy, fruit of that mixture, wich in that precise instant has been set free.
