THE DIVE Installation (45cm x 175cm x 45cm): (Lambda print under plexiglass 45 x 155) + trampoline half black and gold (20cm x 45cm x 45cm) + glass water The installation The Dive is a reflection about the prevailing narcissistic and hedonistic image in the present world of sport. To realize this work, I have ironically played with the perpendicular jet of water that falls from a banal tap and then turns into a gymnast and perfect nude man body suspended in a vacuum which seems end his unlikely flight in a glass of water. The picture below plexiglas is placed on a black trampoline with golden and glamour border of the same width of the image and projected to the spectator. On the trampoline front edge is placed a real glass of water all similar to that shown in the picture as if it were a diver on a trampoline ready to throw himself in the empty space and because of an optical effect of those who see, it reflects in the virtual one of the picture recalling paradoxically to the Narcissus myth, who drowns into his own image in the water.
