Ronnie Jiang is a Paris base artist who was born in Indonesia. She was a designer for around 8 years before she decided to get serious in her art in 2013. Ronnie’s diverse cultural background allows her to express herself in a way she feel comfortable when it comes to her art making. Her studies and previous work as a designer influenced her a lot in the way she works. All these experiences have created somewhat a contradiction, fueling the explosion of the two sides of her through her works. As a result, you can see both a restricted and freedom-craving of herself on one canvas, a textured loosen up background mix with the personage which has been executed in a delicate and realist way, somehow has created a contradiction and yet the whole canvas seems balance by its composition and colours that she used. The theme of her paintings is often intriguing yet thought provoking, and in some paintings we can sense the sense of humour of the artist.
