Biography

Sergio Sartori was born in 1947 in Camposanpiero (PD), Italy, and has lived in Marostica all his life.
He has been a photographer since 1970. He founded the Marostica Fotoclub and was its secretary from 1979 to 1985 as well as its president from 1985 to 2000, when the name was changed to Marostica Photography. In 1992 he established and has since seen to the organization of the “Dolce e Photo” Exhibition, organizing some 150 personal and collective showings of Italian and foreign photographers.
In 1997 he was elected to be the delegate from the Province of Vicenza of the F.I.A.F. (Federazione Italiana Associazioni Fotografiche), which belongs to the International Federation of Photographic Art.
In 1998 he was honored with the B.F.I. (Benemerito della Fotografia Italiana) award for merit in the field of photography.
Beginning in 1999 he was the coordinator for the Shows Division of the F.I.A.F. for Northeastern Italy.
In January 2001 he was nominated the Veneto Region's delegate to the F.I.A.F. and was honored with the A.F.I. (Artista della Fotografia Italiana) award for art in photography.
In 2005 he gave up all of his official duties to concentrate on his Art.
