Social Media can overwhelm to the point of not cure us most of the reports that are part of everyday life: we are talking about family relationships, friendships. We risk being more focused on sharing the video of the kitten rather than play ball in the park with our son. If so social media would constitute a strong threat to our interpersonal relationships. Not so obviously, but the Web and Social Media can really be for some the only way to relate to others, because they facilitate the contact through the sharing of common interests. This is only part of a larger problem that has within it many facets, just think of the way they relate to new technologies younger users or to the occurrence of certain "diseases" such as FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out ), the fear of losing something when you are not connected to the Net. We must therefore bear in mind the fact that the new technologies in general are tools that improve our social life, the stretch but do not replace it.
