Martyrium The art project "Martyrium" is an illustrative path in which I describe my personal view of the current environmental conditions prevailing in our region, battered by pollution and socio-cultural decline. With the cycle of the seven drawings, mine is an attempt sarcastic and misleading, at times violent, trying to shake the collective consciousness, destabilizing dall'assuefazione bombardment mass media deviant and alienating. "Martyrium" is a title that apparently seems to refer exclusively to the main iconographic theme in the seven elaborated, "the palm of martyrdom Catholic Christian iconography", actually binds to the true meaning of the term, namely the ancient buildings of the early Christian era, just called Martyrium. Places where the first Christian martyrs were buried. Echoing the ancient meaning and rereading it in a contemporary way, I imagined our present territory as a kind of "Martyrium in the open." Place it becomes at the same time the house and tomb of those who manage it and live in it, man executioner and martyr of himself but also witness of his time.
