Biography
I am an artist living and working in Adelaide, South Australia. My practice centres around the material qualities of clay, in particular how the marks of the hand and body can transform clay and in turn, be transformed by my own interventions. This investigation leads me to make objects that are both familiar and vastly unfamiliar, some bear the mark of their maker quite clearly, others are creatures that emerged from the blueprint of my palm print or finger marks. I am fascinated by the diversity of what forms when I follow the marks I leave on clay.
