Biography

Spider and The Bottle consists of Gregor (b.1981) and Nicholas (b.1990). Each of whom separately spent many years immersed in art. One a professional musician and the writer of novels, the other spending his years drawing and painting. The two auspiciously met one another and within four days, started working together. Less an amalgamation of the talents they had already procured, and more the exploration and formation of new ones, the two began creating contemporary art exhibitions. Their first, a self-titled exhibition explaining their meeting through allegorical tale. Spending nine months working every day to bring this story to life, they found that they had birthed a collaboration that they hope to bring to maturity through many years of fruitful work together. Now, in their second year, they have found their individual identities have been left behind, and work exclusively as Spider and The Bottle.

Spider and The Bottle aims to produce high end, contemporary art exhibitions that offer more than pleasing aesthetics, but provoke thought and weave stories. We see our pieces as actors in a play rather than the objects wheeled on between scenes.
