Biography
I am Virginia based but only recently moved back to begin my professional career. I attended Louisiana State University, completing my BFA in Photography and two minors in art history and business and administration.
I found photography at a young age from growing up with a mother who was interested in photography herself. Her work allowed me to appreciate the meaning of a captured image even before owning a camera myself. I have tried to show that throughout my work whether it be with beautiful scenery, emotional attachment, conceptual development, or general technical decisions. Throughout my schooling, I came to understand myself as an artist and that the things I have to say to the world can be communicated through the medium of photography. I explore my medium by using digital, analog, video, and alternative photographic processes-whether separate or combined. I intend to continue my artistic education and exploration by attending an MFA program after gaining additional professional experience independently.
As a fine art photographer, I pursue a few ongoing projects that continue to develop different personal interests. Currently, I am engaged in freelance photographic work, but also look forward to learning in other professional settings within the field of photography. With experience in product, fashion, and travel photography, as well as a readiness to try any new opportunities, I am excited to find my unique identity within a field that I really love.
